felt like I had been riding it all my life

Hello Todd & Charissa

Just wanted to write and thank you for the board. It has worked out great and I am really psyched on it.

Usually with a new board

(and especially one that is 4” shorter

than what I normally ride)

there is a learning curve but this board

felt like I had been riding it all my life from the get go.

I recently put my PC-7’s on it and that was added touch for me as it loosened it up more from G8’s and now is just perfect for me. I hope this board never dies but please keep my file just in case. Thanks again and all the best to you both.

is this a surfboard I’m riding, or a magic carpet!

Hello Charissa and Todd,

I want to thank you both. I received the surfboard Friday, October 5th, as scheduled and could not be happier. When I opened the box and saw such a fine work of art, dedicated to my late brother, it literally brought tears to my eyes.

It also arrived just in time for a great weekend swell, with clean waves in the chest to head high range. As you might expect my anticipation and excitement to try this board was at an all time high. When I paddled out, the board floated me well, and when I took off on my first ride, I could not believe how great it responded and how fast it went.

I thought for a moment,

is this a surfboard I’m riding,

or a magic carpet!

I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the whole experience. Beginning with the discussion with Todd talking about what I was looking for in a surfboard, to the nice, comfortable correspondences with Charissa whom, kept me informed through the whole process. It was everything I could have hoped for and more.

Todd really listened to what I was requesting

and truly delivered it.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before,

but Todd, you are definitely a master of your craft!

Charissa it was a pleasure speaking with you through the e-mails. Your sincerity and warmth was obvious. Thank you so much once again,

for me this surfboard is, as they say “priceless!”

Sincerely,

Ken Hacker, New York

If there is a word beyond Stoked, I'm that.

Getting better all the time. Always stoked because of you. Here are a few new pics of my progress.

Todd is my Shaper, he will always be now.

I put my trust in him after I just got back

into this sport and man…. he did it right.

I guess that’s what has blown me away the most.

I’m 47 years old, been away from surfing for 25 years (feeling very lost) and Todd told me “This board will take you to the next level” I trusted him, I still can’t believe how it has all unfolded. You have seen the pics. I know I’m not a shredder by any means.

I’m stoked more then you know to be surfing as well as I am and getting better all the time at my age and time away from it.

I hope I pull my 1st Air before I hit 50

HAHA!  Hmmm I guess I can make that a goal LOL!

Maybe that’s it too, Not only is it a top quality board, Todd is top quality in picking the right board for someone feeling lost in the mass of boards to pick from. I felt like a person not just a bunch of numbers.

If there is a word beyond Stoked, I’m that.

This will be my "go to" board all winter long

Hi guys, saw the videos and glad I already got a Monsta.

It’s been pretty small in Santa Cruz

but got  a couple of decent waves

and felt how responsive the board is.

This will be my “go to” board all winter long.

If it gets really big I can also bring out the single fin Todd made me.Hope to visit you both in person late fall this year.

Even on small waves I can just whip the board around

Hello Todd/Charissa,
Just wanted to write, after a long delay (bought the board Oct 09), to tell you how much I love my hybrid performance funboard.

Returning to surfing after 20+ years,

this board has been a godsend.

I’ve been riding it a lot these past 10 months and it goes like a dream.

Fast, easy to paddle, super light and

full of life for a board of this size. (7’6″ x 21 1/4 x 3)

its been a great groveler in our weak S. China sea surf – espec for a big guy, beginner/intermediate surfer like myself (6’1″ 195 lbs). When the waves pick up the board is just incredibly fast – it gets much more maneuverable as the wave power picks up.

Even on small waves I can just whip the board around,

pull deep carves and pivot on the tail with ease.

Something I could never do on a similar size poly. And I can catch almost anything on this baby.

It has also held up to some punishment.

With the proxy titanium and kevlar the board

still has no visible dings, no noticeable

pressure dings on the deck, despite my

knocking it around more than once.

And even though the colors weren’t exactly what I ordered, it turns out I love the look and design more than what I requested!

All I can say is your design, service and obvious commitment to quality has made my re-entry to surfing super enjoyable. Next year I’m seriously considering getting my first shortboard from you – maybe something in the 6’4″x 2 1/2 x 19 range. Of course I’ll seek your advice first – like I did with this one.

Big thanks once again for helping my surfing progress,

and for making my time in the water

even more fun and rewarding.

Now, if I can only do something about our crap summer surf. But winter’s coming…

All the Best,

It paddles like a dream, I can get into waves. MAGICAL!!!

Hey Charissa, this is Luciano.  It was great meeting the both of you, I
feel truly blessed.

BTW, that Big Chief/Greased Pig fusion

worked wonders yesterday!!!

It paddles like a dream, I can get into waves

SSSOOOO much easier

and although it took me about ten waves

to get used to it, IIITTT RRRIIIIPPPSSS!!

I was shocked, actually, at the “feel” this board has, I know it has a lot to do with the tail shape and extra width, along with the double concave and the rail geometry======

MAGICAL!!!

Thanks again, LS

My skill level has jumped tenfold and my stoke even more!

Hey Todd and Charissa,
This is Jeff.

You guys customed me a lil’ rascal end of last season.

I just wanted to write you guys an email and let you know that so far this season it has been epic. The board rips, and is super fun. So glad my sister hooked that up.

My skill level has jumped tenfold

and my stoke even more!

Now on to business….
Within the next probably three to four months I am thinking about picking up a shortboard. With the results I had from dealing with Proctor I am for sure going to be getting it through you guys. The only thing I am unsure of is what exactly I am looking for. Like I said before my skill has jumped but I dont think I am out of the beginner woods just yet. Basically any info you could throw at me in regards to what I should be looking at would be awesome. No rush! I know you guys have a lot on your plates. I’m basically looking to keep developing skill wise, and step up to some bigger waves and bigger challenges.

I hope this email finds you both in good health, and better spirits.
-Jeff

I’m in a confused state of euphoria

Dear Todd and Charissa,
This is Ahiena from Hilo, Hawaii. I got my 6’1″ El Pavote about a month ago and have been riding it since then and

I’m so blown away by the board that

I’m in a confused state of euphoria -

almost lost as to my whereabouts! I’ve been surfing for about 15 years now, and boogie boarding 4 years before that. I grew up in the ocean and lived around the ocean all my life and rode everything from a piece of plywood to a couple of custom-made quivers.

I have to say that before I got the El Pavote, I thought that in my life I’ve rode a handful magic boards.

But after riding the El Pavote, I realize that I’ve only had one magic board besides the El Pavote and it was a Channel Islands. The proxy s-glass floats me and my bigger frame like no other board has, especially at 6’1″!

And it puts me where I want to be on a wave

and whatever I imagine I want to do, it takes me there!

Thank you for the truly magic board – you’ve gained a lifetime customer. I’m already thinking about a big boy Greased Pig for our sloppy, mushy conditions out here in Hilo on the Big Island.

Mahalo nui Todd and the Proctor crew!
