feels very lively under the feet with whips up around the lip fast and smooth

Hi Charissa,
Board arrived in A1 condition, brilliant packing!
Looks fantastic, can’t wait to give it a blast and will feedback to you after a few waves this weekend! Have a great weekend.

Hey Charissa,
Here’s a bit of feedback for Todd.
Had 3 surfs on my new ‘Pavote’ this week in some fairly good 4ft clean surf, only with an air temp of -2 and water mid 40′s, freezing!

Really getting into the feel of it today,

picks up waves easy, paddles great and feels very lively under the feet with whips up around the lip fast and smooth…this board is my new ‘go to’ already!

Proud to be riding a ‘Proctor’ and wearing a big grin!

I’ll shoot some photo’s over in near future.

Cheers and many thanks again for great service and great boards!

Hey Todd,

Rode the Rascal II at Lowers this morning and the board rips!

Fast, drivey , turns great and releases off the top great..I’m stoked!

It must be magic cuz 2-4’+ and only 3 other guys out for an 1-1/2 hr…what a great way to break in a board.

I’ll let you know when I’m ready for the Monsta

but really the Rascal II is perfect for Trestles. lol

Thanks again,
Steve

you created a masterpiece for me and it is my quiver of choice by farrrrrr.

Hey Todd my name is Alec and I ordered a board from you about 2 years ago and it is phenomenal.

I got it on St. Pattys Day and

it’s the only board I’ve ridden since.

Its a 5’10″ Greased Rascal with a 5 fin setup. I live in New Jersey so I usually use the quad set up but when it gets big with hurricane swell I usually rock the thruster set up.

Honestly man the board is so amazing I can catch basically any wave with a few paddles if I’m in the optimal spot.

It is great at catching waves, it’s extremely fast, I can make a lot of sections I otherwise wouldn’t be able to make if i was riding a different board, and most of all i can get barreled out of my mind because of the way it just sits in the pocket of the wave.

You really did shape the thing to perfection for me. I am so thankful I went through you to get my surfboard because I cant imagine riding anything else. I paid a ton of money for the board especially with the shipping and handling but it was worth every penny.

From the bottom of my heart man I appreciate you for crafting me this beautiful creation.

I just wanted to tell you that you

created a masterpiece for me and

it is my quiver of choice by farrrrrr.

I think that the board will last for a while because I’ve had it for two years now and aside from some dings it is in perfect condition. I think its because I had you put on the S-glass.  I surf a lot and I’m not easy on the board at all, it stands up to everything I put it through and it still looks great.

Thank you so much Todd, keep doing your thing man you shape a wicked stick!

El Pavote. This board is insane!!!

I bought a like new El Pavote off a friend in Santa Cruz,

and I wanted to tell you this board is magic.

I rode it today for the first time and I have to say it is everything you describe it to be. Magic board, and after riding Channel Islands and JS boards the last few years I am now a Proctor Surfboards customer.

I will be looking to you for my next order,

just wanted to say thanks,

stoked to get a board off a shaper

who obviously has pride in his craft.

This board is insane!!!

Thanks,
Jeff Bason

flying past the usual close out section…

went to Leo yesterday with Taylor after school for a quick session…had it to ourselves…caught a few 5ft waves and sooooo enjoyed….

I found the sweet spot on the board–>took a bit wider stance on the board & it just took off…awesome!!!

(my old blue board would slow way down if a wider stance)

Soooo pumped….flew down Leo’s line at least 100yds–flying past the usual close out section…

Whoop wwhhhoopppp!!!

I could go at a section and push as hard as I could and it did not slide out.

Todd put 5 fin boxes in a Lil’ Rascal board.
And I rode it as a thruster for a bit. And it felt good…
and today I wanted to try the board as a quad.

So I put the same size fins in all four places and the board was so fast and held in.

I could go at a section and push as hard as I could and it did not slide out.

Epic

Can’t wait for the next session

Trouble is I sold all my short boards and only want to use the Rascal

Buenas tardes…..
The Rascal has been nothing short of amazing, changed my surfing forever!

Trouble is i sold all my short boards and only want to use the Rascal and its on its last legs. I keep patching it up trying to prolong its life.

I took it out in 4ft barrels today when everybody else was on skinny short boards and i swear i got more waves than anyone!!

and it took the drops just fine, I love it. Its my magic carpet!!

But its winter here now and i know i need a board that can handle a little more size and is more suited to the barrel but i dont want to got to the “traditional” short board.

I was thinking of the Monsta series. You do so many nice shapes is too hard to choose.

In my mind your boards suit my philosophy on surfing and no other shaper can match.

Plus you both seem really down-to-earth, humble nice people….difficult to find in the surfing world these days.

You guys need to come to Europe to shape some boards. Thanks so much, Nikai.

the board accelerated like nothing I have experienced

Hi Charisa,

That epoxy Rascal you made me last year is over a year old and holding up great.

It gets surfed 2-4 times

a week, and there is not

a single ding in it.

The deck is a bit dented from all the use, but there are no dings in it at all.  I don’t keep it in a bag, it just gets tossed into the car or on my bike rack.  I really don’t take that good care of it at all. But it is one tough board.

I don’t think I have ever had a board

hold up as well.

There is something that I want to mention to anyone who is thinking of having a board made.  I now have 2 Proctor boards and based on my experience, will probably never work with any other shaper ever again.  The reason is that Todd and Charissa run Proctor in a way that suits me perfectly.

When I want a board, Todd really listens to me.  I am 52.  I am not a 17 year old gymnist.

But that doesn’t me I should not have a board that would bring out the best in my surfing and take it to a new level.  When I ordered my second board, they knew who I was, they had all the records of my previous board, and were able to

listen to what I wanted, take into account the improvements in my surfing ,

and craft the ideal board for me.

It is a combination of caring & modern technology that allows this to happen.

Someone at a surf shop, even my local guys who I see every week, are not able to do that for me.  Although they see no harm in it, they would happily have me buy a tiny potato chip and send me off on my merry way, just as they would some 17 year old.  Todd listens, he takes into account who I am, where I surf, and what I want out of the board.  He has the experience to know how to make that happen for me.  So although I feel I bit guilty not buying from my local guys, and that I have to wait a few weeks for my board to be made, it is really the only way I will ever buy a surfboard.  What can I say, it feels nice to be cared about.

All my best,
David

I just came back from my first session with the new Rascal.  Wow.  So much fun. I had it in 3-4ft beach break here in the bay, and it was fantastic.  I want to thank Todd for taking the time to listen to me, to really understand what would be the best board for me, and to craft a gorgeous super fun board.  I was a bit timid at first, not sure if with the shorter length I would be able to catch waves like the earlier Rascal, but no worries at all.

First wave I went for was a right,

dropped right into the power part of the wave,

and stood on the rail.

Worked great, but the wave collapsed around me. However, on the second wave, a left, backside for me,

I weighted the rail and extended up,

the board accelerated like nothing I have experienced. I almost shot over the lip!

I pulled it around for 3 or 4 more turns. You have to understand, this is Santa Monica beach break. This is not some epic long wave. To be able to turn and power like that is something I have only seen, never actually done.

Some of the regular guys were out and they asked what the heck was I surfing on. If you start getting calls from people in Santa Monica and Venice, you will know why.

Great job Mr Proctor, awesome board,

David

As the norm, you made two great boards for me.

Charissa and Todd, I got to try both of the new boards and I’m stoked on both!

The Bullet as a quad is a get-in-early speed machine.

The farther back you get on the tail,

the faster it wants to go.

Good crowd control board in case nobody wants to share that day. Caught several nice, large set waves this morning. Then removed myself from the water in case I started not share.

The Ghost will be a great board for me. It was a little soft at 5-6 ft. and it was slow to get in. Then one with some power came and it was instant, smooth take off.

It’s what I wanted, not a duplicate of my Monsta, but a board for more punchy or critical waves.

As the norm, you made two great boards for me.

Thank You!….Best Regards,John
