I just got back from the HASA State championships and wanted to share how it went with you. I really wanted to do good from the start of this contest and through all of my rounds of competition I kept praying to make it and make it, and finally after surfing 3 stacked heats, I made it to finals. The waves were alright and my competition was tough. Some of the best surfers from all of Hawaii. I started the heat with a solid wave and I was stoked but then about 7 minutes went by and I still hadn’t gotten another wave and finally I paddled a little bit inside and snagged a fun double up and worked it as hard as possible. In the finals, I ended up getting 2nd place! I’m sooo stoked, and I am so surprised. I definitely exceeded my own expectations for this contest so I feel great! I think I will be competing in California for Surfing America Championships at Huntington sometime in Summer, but we’ll see. Anyway, wanted to let you know how I did. Sorry for writing the longest e-mail ever! Hope all is well for everyone!

Todd, I am seriously freaking out on how amazing the new Flexible Epoxy is.? I have never ridden a faster, more maneuverable/better board in my life.
I have been lucky enough to score some great surf this last week and it’s given me a great opputunity to get familiar with the board.? I’m still in shock on how sick it is!??
Hey Todd, it’s definitely been a while, what’s up man!
I wanted to update you with a few pics and a little vid of me on the epoxy.
Still works amazing. I got my Rusty about a week ago and I surfed it, and I compared the epoxy to that Rusty in the same waves; the Proctor wins the battle hands down.
Still the best surfboard I’ve ever ridden.
I found that super cool!? Anyway, here’s the stuff:

the verdict is a true spoiler, fast and loose and catches wave easily
Todd,
well we finally got waves here on Maui was a terrible summer and start of fall. when i first recieved the new board it was a step up from your other epoxies that you made for me in overall look..But i did not want to ride it until we got some quality waves.
the verdict is a true spoiler, fast and loose and catches wave easily and no learning curve fits like a glove.
everyone that has seen it has been impressed showed it to Tom Parrish [legendary perfectionist]and he had that look that said plenty without comment.the proboxes are kind of interesting what would have been your set for fins in degrees? tried the 0,4 and 6 degree inserts so far and the board did not work magically till i put in the 6 degree inserts , maybe too many possibilties as we talked about..my magic to complement your board design are 6 degree black inserts with fsc fiberglass slater 8 time world champ fins fast and loose.is this board the constuction in your video where i see a board being banged against a pole?or was that something newer.took out the 7’8 ante up on a bigger day and it also rode very well ,refoiled some futures to clone the slater fins and made the board work even better.anyway mahalo for the spoilers…

It paddles well and it is super fast…
Aloha,
I got the board and it was in perfect shape. I cant wait to ride it I love the shape and I know I will be terrorizing on it, we just need some swell.
I am also totally stoked on the epoxy.
I’ve surfed it in small waves and some over head barrels at Waipio Valley and it handled great. It paddles well and it is super fast -it also holds well in steep waves. Im very pleased with it… I will definitely be ordering more boards in the future. Todd’s shapes kick a#% -
I think he is some kind of board psychic, they are exactly what I needed.
Aloha, Jason
