Todd, that new Accelerator you shaped me is sick!

You are a true craftsman it shows in your boards as well as your artwork

rob kenworthy titanium series acceleratorI cant thank you enough.

I look at this board as a true step to take me to the next level and thats what I’ve been searching for.

As you know I’ve ridden all the top shapers boards out there and the difference with you is being able to be in direct contact with you, as well as your commitment to producing the board I was looking for. Thanks for walking it like you talk it, you and Charissa are really cool people.

My only regret is not contacting your company a few years ago.

When I get my SR71 I want to leave this board with you , so you can ride to see the tweaks we made to it. Just keep in mind you will probably have to pry it out of my hands.

Thanks again and God bless you and your family.

It’s already been a great match for me surfing the beach breaks around SLO

Todd:

I just wanted to write to say thanks…huge…

I was in your shop a few weeks ago on a Saturday…I ended up buying the 6′2″ accelerator.  This is my first true shortboard and I have been nothing but psyched.

It’s already been a great match for me surfing

the beach breaks around SLO this time of year.

I’m already looking forward to buying my next board from you…maybe a “good waves” board for this winter!!!  You’ll have to give me your recommendation when the time comes.

I’m also going to bring my girlfriend in towards the beginning of September to order a longboard for her.  I was telling you about her when I was in last time.  It’s her b-day and it’s time to get her a board of her own!

I hope all is well.  And thanks again.

Thank you for enabling us to have such a fun time on the water

DearTodd and Charissa,

As promised here are two pictures of Brandon and I with our Apaches.  This picture was taken right before we took Brandon back to the airport so he could fly to Iraq to finish the last three months of his tour.  I’ll be flying to Afghanistan on the 1st of April.

Thank you both so much

for the hard work and enabling us

to have such a fun time on the water.

We’ll protect your freedom so you can work hard to help us enjoy ours ;-) .

Yall are truly amazing people and I look forward to getting home safely and getting back out on the surf.

Tell Todd that I’ll be looking for an “end of tour completely custom board” when I return from Afghanistan.  The name of the Infantry Company I command is “The Comanches” so it might have to be a bit more custom than the apache haha.

More to follow as I dream of this new board over the next year……..take care and God Bless!

Greetings Proctor Family,

Just wanted to say all is well here in Afghanistan and I really, really, really miss my Apache!

I’ll be taking leave in December for Christmas with the family

(and for good conditions on the North Shore)

and I’ll be linking back up with Brandon McConnell who now lives on the point between Lani’s and Chun’s. Can’t wait.

Hope all is well with the biz and that your still helping folks along with their journey in life and surfing.V/r,

Very stable, no “wobble” and fit nicely in the pocket of these Hawaiian waves.

Board gets a lot of looks from jealous folks.

It plained out so nice today and is magic under my feet.

So much fun and paddling out and onto waves is a breeze.

Thanks again for all the help. I’m looking forward to making my morning commute to work on the carver!

Very stable, no “wobble” and fit nicely in the pocket of these Hawaiian waves.

Was very easy for me to turn left/right, pump up and down the line and float over white wash sections with amazing ease.

So bouyant that it just floated over the froth

and into a connecting section of the wave to keep the ride going.

I’ll fill out the secure order form here quickly. Brandon was a bit jealous. Haven’t let him try it out yet as I’m still enjoying it way too much.

The Lil’ Rascal is a blast!

Todd,

The Lil’ Rascal is a blast! My wife said she’s never seen
me surf better than I am on my Lil’ Rascal.
It’s the best board I’ve ever used.

If you want to improve on what you’re doing in the water, I recommend it!

Most importantly thought, it is freaking fast!

The Rascal was a blast in Panama

Hello Charissa and Todd,

I just got back from Panama. Thanks for the update. I can’t believe the board’s almost ready. That was quick. I can’t wait to try it out.

P.S. The Rascal was a blast in Panama, rode it everday for 2 weeks as the swell never got over head high. Lovin’ it.

Thanks again,

I really did feel the difference on these boards

Hey Todd and Charissa,

Just wanted to give you some feedback on the boards I picked up on Friday afternoon and to say thanks for all of your help with getting these KILLER boards.

My friend Dirk (the one that met me at your shop) and I went straight to Silver Strand after getting my boards. Once we got there the waves were more solid than I was expecting, they were about chest to head high (+ on occasion). Then I realized I didn’t have a leash cord but luckily Dirk had some spares. I took out the G4f and my on first wave I didn’t make the drop on a mellow left. Then I caught about 6 rights (I’m a regular footer) and the board was awesome. I hit the lip on every wave and landed all of them, which usually doesn’t happen that consistent.

Then I did one of the more vertical off the lips I have done in many years and landed it perfectly to continue down the line.

The board was super responsive, fast, and very forgiving.

If only I had been riding one of these a long time ago!

It worked well on the small waist high waves and felt great in the head high waves.
After about 10-12 waves I ran in and got Da Monsta out. The waves were healthy enough that I normally would have stayed on the G4f but I had to try Da Monsta. My first wave was a chest high slightly bumpy right and the board took off. I honestly don’t think that I have ever gone so fast on a board before. A few waves later I caught one of the head high+ sets and I made the drop fine and once the wave started sucking out the board just took off again.

Those two waves in particular were the fastest I have ever felt a board go!

I got to hit the lip once on Da Monsta and landed it solid.

The next morning (Sat) Dirk and I hit Shores and it was about waist to shoulder+ with light offshores. This time I just rode Da Monsta. I caught tons of waves and felt really solid on the drops, although I didn’t make the drop on one of the head high waves (my fault, not the board). A lot of the waves were backing off so the feel was a little different. I did pull into one of my better tubes of the season on it but didn’t make it out.
Instead of being so wordy I could have just said I’m stoked on the boards but

I really did feel the difference on

these boards and I can’t wait to ride

them in some long lined up waves.

My friend Dirk saw me one some of the waves and knows how pumped I am about the boards that he is thinking about getting one soon!

Besides the boards, I am stoked on your customer service and that there were never any loose ends or any miscommunications that occurred during the whole process.

You seem to have a great operation and I hope to work with you again on another “Magic Ride”.

Thanks,

a couple weeks later

Hi Charissa and Todd,
I am so stoked on my boards! I rode the Monsta in 3-4′ windswell at Silver Strand the other day and the board was working great.

I’m landing almost all my floaters/off the lips

which I was not doing with the other two boards I had before.

What a difference in take offs, speed and control!

Also, I feel like I am doing more gouging type turns by digging the rail and tail deeper into the wave.

Todd- It was cool seeing out in the line-up this morning (it’s always a good thing to see your shaper ripping)!

The g4 worked well in the conditions, it dropped in comfortably in the bigger ones and actually groveled really well on the little insiders.

I’m totally stoked on my two boards. I was going right on one and you were going left on the same one way down the line tucked into a backside tube, Right On!

I just sold my other boards so I have enough money for another board since I am rebuilding my quiver with boards that work well for me. I will call at some point and make an appointment to talk to you about what I want and need.

Have a good one!

Paul

Hi Todd,
I ended up surfing Inside Point for a short sesh later after meeting up with you and rode my g4.

My first wave was my 2nd best wave of the winter (lil overhead) and the board was perfect.

I did about 8-10 big carving turns

all the way down to the pier

and the board felt so solid.

That was the test and the board passed

on solid waves. Thanks!

I was skeptical about the EPS but it felt perfect

Hey Todd,

I am so stoked on the Scarecrow!!!! After seeing you Sunday morning we actually surfed Shores for about 35 mins. because because my friend Duke and his son were short on time and wanted to paddle out there. It sucked but I actually got 5 good ones and felt how the board worked.

We then went to Silver Strand and surfed the middle and it was actually really fun. Just Dirk and I and a SUPer for about 2 hours.

The board worked so good. I cracked the lip several times and hit it hard.

I felt the speed of the board and did some good cutbacks as well. I rode it as a tri with my Solus fins and they worked so good.

I was skeptical about the EPS

but it felt perfect,

I almost wish my Monsta and G4 were EPS. Your boards have definitely brought out the best of my surfing!

Thanks again for making killer boards and running such a respectful business!

Hope to see you out in the water again soon!

Paul

about a year later

Hi Todd and Charissa,

I had such a fun lil sesh on my Scarecrow yesterday (fri) at the Point at Fairgrounds. Fun lil 3-4′ south peelers.

I pulled a mini front side air! I can’t even remember the last time I even thought of doing an air.

On another wave I had so much speed

I laid into the heaviest wrapping cutback

that I’ve ever done!!

I saw a bunch of Proctors out there and saw/talked to your friend Chris (daughter is sponsored by you). He rides your El Pavote. I’ve talked to him before and he is super pumped on your equipment as I am.
Then I hit the Fillmore skate park and no one was there so I worked the bowls section for a while, so fun on Da Monsta.

My rail surfing has improved tremendously from all of my skating,

especially from riding all the transitions at the skate parks.

My legs haven’t felt tired this whole winter thanks to Da Monsta, my upper body needs more attention now.

Thanks again for producing the BEST boarding equipment out there!!!

Charissa….

Can you tell Todd that the color came out so good (best looking board I’ve ever had) and my friends were tripping on how well it turned out!

You both are so great to work with, much appreciated!

gets into the waves nice and early and charges fast with the nose eagerly passing through the sections

Hi Todd/Charissa,

The board was delivered on my doorstep on Wednesday. Amazingly there was also a clean chest high swell running at one of my favorite breaks!

I’m very lucky to get a new board and use it the same day in inconsistent Bermuda.

The board paddles amazingly well and gets into the waves nice and early and charges fast with the nose eagerly passing through the sections.

It rides exceedingly well on the faces and is very loose rail to rail.

It has done everything Todd said it would do for me and I’m really looking forward to getting it out in the looming hurricane swells!

Please thank Todd for exceeding my expectations

and providing a custom service with the upmost integrity!   Have a great weekend.

the concept board that you made me has improved my surfing immeasurably

Todd, first I’d like to give you feedback about the concept board you made me a little over a year ago.

Todd, the concept board that you made me

has improved my surfing immeasurably.

I’m the guy who, because of a bad lower back, has to knee paddle and pop up from my knees in one motion (which takes pressure off my lower back).

You listened to my unusual (re-invented old-school) style of surfing,

and made an 8′ concept board for me by combining different parts from four of your existing board designs.

It was a masterful creation on your part,

allowing me to easily catch a wide variety of waves.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but your patience in taking the time to listen to my unique surfing needs and your creativity in designing what

I am convinced is the perfect board for me &

has brought a tremendous amount of happiness to my life.

I can’t thank you enough.

This thing works well for me in all conditions from small, fun waves, to peppy Santa Clara river mouth, to well overhead Pt Dume.

Todd,

Just writing to thank you for helping me take my surfing to the next level.
I now thankfully own three custom proctors surfboards.

Today,

I especially thank you for what has come to be

my go to board for

almost any conditions:  The Rascal.

I thought it was going to

mainly be the small wave board.

Boy was I wrong.

If I am not sure how the surf is going to be, (never relying 100% on the reports as we all know) I grab the rascal.

Why?

I know it won’t let me down.

This thing works well for me in all conditions from small, fun waves, to peppy Santa Clara river mouth, to well overhead Pt Dume.

Cheers to the shaper who really works with the surfer. ( Not just pros)

Best regards,

Randy
Pitus Point Camp Ground …

the board that you shaped for me is everything that I could have wanted

Hey Todd….. Well Todd what can I say the board that you shaped for me is

everything that I could have wanted and truly is a magic board!

The air brush work turned out great and I really like the gun metal grey color of the board. The board is a rocket Todd! I find myself being able to surf the wave top to bottom and really link turns together where before I was always looking for speed this board gains speed through every turn. The fact that the board is is so light, strong, and precise blows my mind.

After surfing my magic board that you shaped, I feel like I have been stuck surfing in the 80’s!

Your boards and the technology that you are incorporating into the flexible epoxy is amazing! I am sold to say the least and I do not hesitate to show and educate my friends and folks that I work with about your boards and how far a head of the rest that you shapes are!

The reason it took so long to reply to you and give you some feed back is because the waves have really been lacking on the southeast coast of NC. We are all really disappointed that we have yet to get a real winter swell! It has not been bigger than a very weak head high wave. I cannot wait to get the board into some waves with a little more juice behind them so that I can let loose! Don’t get me wrong even in the small crap knee – waist I can surf the board no problem! The swells that we have been getting are usually waist to shoulder with not to much power, but

the Groveler has no problem finding speed and busting the fins out the back!

Well Todd thank you again so much for shaping me a magic board I look forward to getting many more boards shaped by you, you are the man!

Happy Surfing,
