Hey Todd. Thanks for the input. It really helped me. Here is what I’m thinking. I guess I should stay to the more specifically designed guns for the bigger stuff. Here’s my reasoning for saying that and what I’m trying to put together.

I have a 6’0″ El Pavote.

6’2″ G4E.

6’2″ SR-71.6’4″ Blackbird.

All by the way are out of this world.

I will never buy from anyone else,

you got me dialed in to a T.

So my El Pavote as I see it has my smaller wave base covered, the G4E and Blackbird has evrything above that , and the SR-71 is for the Bread and Butter.

By the way I was in Puerto with that board

and it was solid 8-10 ft and

me and that board were one from the first wave.

Please keep that one on file for sure.

Me and my wife travel frequently and I have family in Hawaii so I would like to have some boards built for over there and Indo.

Pretty much whereever we go I want to have something I can go to.That said, I think I have my shortboard side of it all complete for the most part. My Blackbird being 6’4″ is the biggest out of your boards. And going to different places especially Hawaii I am going to need bigger boards, Bottom Line.

So I will need an Ante Up

I’m thinking how Tamayo had his set up.

Size I will leave to you. I might even need two. One bigger than the other. Im thinking 6’7″ and one maybe 6’10″. I will need one for when Pipe starts showing its colors, here I’m thinking Pipecleaner, maybe 7’2″ish. And one for big sunset/Pipe for here I was leaning twards the West Peak, maybe 7’10″-8’4.

And finally the gnarly Big Daddy for Da Bay/Mavs…

here goes back to the one you have on your showroom wall, the 10’2″.If you think that particular board would suit me I forget the width and thickness of it but atleast 3 plus inches thick for sure. In otherwords I dont want to big of a gap in the size’s of boards I have. If the surfs there then I wanna be prepared and I wanna do it on one of your boards. I like what you stand for and I think your the best shaper around so thats where Im putting my money. And these boards, call me particular but I like my boards to be as strong as possible(Super Duty) if you will.

Boards arent cheap and I want not only longevity with them but durability. Albeit I understand if I put it in the wrong place that not even triple 6oz. e glass will hold it intact. But you get where Im coming from.So In a nutshell that is what I’m looking to accomplish with the remainder of my quiver. Tell me what you think and I hope that helps you into understanding what Im trying to do. All in all I just want the board I need for when the time arises to be there in my quest for the ultimate ride. So we could even try out like SR-71/AnteUp or things like that. Or even take from what you have done with the Monsta(Lower entry and increased numbers off the tail) into all of them. Anyway dont wanna take anymorer of your time but let me know whaen you get around to it. Have a blessed day.

Hey Todd & Charissa,

The waves of November and December at Salt Creek have proved no match for the tube threading ability of the Proxy 6’4″ Ante-UP Quad you shaped me!

The board is excellent and rides equally well as a thruster or quad. I have run FCS: PC-5 quad set and the FCS: TC Aqualine 5 fin set as a thruster and quad. The PC-5 quad makes the board hold on anything and i’m taking off way deeper than I’ve ever pushed it and they seem to draw out your turns (I prefer these on the more powerful days.) The Aqualine’s make the board much looser and even though your riding a 6’4″ it turns on dime and feel’s like a 6’0″.

The board is the best i’ve ever ridden!

Thanks for listening to the little guys out there and treating us all like family!

Many tubes!

I’ve been working with Todd for a little over a year now and the best way I can sum him up,

“He’s a master craftsman as well as a consummate professional!”

Over the years, I’ve had the blessed opportunity to work with some of the world’s best surfing shapers.

Aside from Todd Proctor being one of these world’s best shapers, the attribute that stands out the most

is the fact that he is willing to listen to you

as the client and make you exactly what you want.

No ego with this guy, just awesome custom building!

All of my boards from Todd work amazingly well

but there’s definately a couple of them that I consider my magic carpets…

6′ 6″ – 6 channel swallow tail:

This board has turned out to be my all around work horse.

It’s the fastest, most responsive board I’ve ever owned!

The thing about this board is the fact that it’s so alive

in small waves but yet it maintains control in punchier surf.

I can push this board in the 7 foot Hawaiian scale with utmost

confidence.

7′ 2″ and 7′ 6″ - sharp pin tail:

I’ve been working on this design for nearly 2 decades.

Once again, the great thing about Todd is his lack of ego and his willingness to learn new ideas and

concepts. The concept with these two boards is thicker, fuller rails with plenty

of old school V for the bottom design. These boards are excedingly fast and

stable and not only do they work great at Pipe and sunset but they work in

powerful surf world wide.

Todd,

I wanted to call right away, cause I just got out of the water & I got to ride the 7’2″.
Everyone was crowding the right @ Backdoor,
and I saw some good ones nobody was going for @ Pipe, so I swung into a few.

On the first wave, I took off & thought I was way too deep,
so I railed into it a little &

felt the board take-off like I’ve never

felt a board accelerate in the barrel before.

I’m stoked,

we are on to a good track already

with these first boards…

not bad for just talking over what I needed on the phone.

Sorry it took so long to write about your boards that you shaped for me before Christmas. I just returned from a 3 week trip down in Morocco and was finally able to put them thru their paces that they deserved. So…
6’1″ x 20 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ Lil’ Rascal

Surfed in head high mushy point surf and what a blast!!!

She was such a skatey, slippery little board that after a couple of waves just worked like a dream. Lot of speed off the bottom, loose anywhere on the wave and a great laugh. All who saw her were very impressed with the shape and fin system. Great choice

6’6″ x 19 5/8″ x 2 9/16″ Groveler IV.p Rounded Squash Tail

My work horse. Surfed this from shoulder high to solid 6-7′ points. Was a great board in the beefier waves. Pushed back when I needed it out on the shoulder for cutties,

paddled like a dream, very fast around sections and held suprisingly well in the hollow stuff.

At my first impression upon opening, she seemed pretty over built and to be honest she is for a lot of occassions. A lot of thickness everywhere. I asked you for an all around board and you did a good job. Next time will probably go a little smaller in size and thickness. Overall, was very pleased with the board, again, another good choice.

7’0″ x 19 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ Ante Up Roundpin

Surfed in 7′-10′ Anchor Point. Now this board was such an amazing ride. Paddleing out on that big day with new board I was a little concerned. But as soon as I made it out the back a wave popped up just in front of me. And from the the paddle in to the finish, I just shat myself!!!! Paddled in soooo easy and early and once to my feet was no kidding and I hate the expression, ‘like a magic carpet ride.’ The board had so much speed and control, glided around sections easily, turning off the bottom was always controlable, was unlike any board I had ever ridden.

For the next 2 hours I had one of the best sessions of my life on that board

and can only wait to ride it once again.

As for the office side of your buisness, I found Charissa very helpful and pleasant. Her side was as good as the boards you made me.

I have to say that when I find myself back in Cali and I need a new board I will definetly be giving you a call for my next shape.

Cheers Todd and Charissa

Hey Todd and Charissa,
This is Scot Masters Calling. Ya’ know…I hadn’t had a chance to get back to you, but I wanted to thank you so much for the awesome boards….man…..the Ante Up that I got….everything from the omission of the words ‘Big Chief’ to bringing it down under 20 inches wide, the thing is like, I don’t’ know…

I mean you can have a dream board and you can have a dream board…but I think this is definitely one of my dream boards.

I caught a wave to almost double overhead, head-and-a-half out at Mussel Shoals, good 15 foot sections or about 5 yards, just doubling up warping wave – and the board just glides like a dream. So anyway, I wanted to give you some feedback.

Nancy is just totally stoked on her 6’8”. She just loves it.

She says it’s even looser than her other board, I don’t know how that is, but she loves it – absolutely loves it.

So, thank you, thank you , thank you.

Went out on a big day out at Gun Turrets too – it was about a head and a half, and I caught some bombs on it, and it just didn’t have any problem at all pushing me over the ledge, and holding the rail on the wall, so thank you so much!
I hope you guys are doing great.
I’ll talk to you soon.
Bye.
