Thanks for helping me elevate my surfing

Todd & Charissa,

Love the boards! Have been cutting up the waves on both.

The MonstaChief is way more maneuverable than my C6.

Pulled off a nice floater yesterday and released the tail off the lip on my first wave.

Thanks for helping me elevate my surfing!!!!!!

The day the Tiger broke free

Todd Proctor,

You are the man!

I finally took out the 9’8″ “Tiger in the Tail” you made for me today. I am sorry but yes, it has taken long to get into the water because I missed the last season (with that board) by a day and had shelved surfing activities afterwards for various reasons.

The board is simply amazing! It’s as if it has been tailor made for me and sort of fits like a glove!

I don’t know what you’ve done,

but it carried my 260 pounds on the very first wave

after nine months of no surfing without a single wobble.

I did catch two waves after that but only body surfed them. Same story. In fact, it’s hard to fall off that board.

Dhruva from Mantra Surf Club asked me if he could try it and I let him have it for “ten minutes”. He hung five on the very first wave (a puny 2 footer). He also did a pirouette on the board on a later wave.

I’m sorry I dont have photographs for your website because I discovered the batteries were dead after I hit the beach. But will get some next time.

I don’t think I will be using any other board ever. I’ve found my magic board. …

and like I told Charissa, maybe a Monstachief at some point.

Reverence, Sir.

Keep it alive, and happiness to you and yours,

i caught the little waves way easy and just got to the nose and stayed

The salt water taffy super fortress sweetie is so sick. the length and fin are perfect! i caught the little waves way easy and just got to the nose and stayed.

The board is surprisingly a very fast board, i was getting a lot of speed in the drop ins and going down the line!

What i was also surprised about was when i cut back

it cut back faster than i expected for how big the board is

which is pretty cool because at least on the smaller waves i know that i wont have to put as much muscle into it!

i have only surfed it once and look forward to keep dialing in this sweetie fortress this weekend when ther will be some surf! yeeeww!!

Gonna make me a better surfer by far

Great stuff. Good interview and stories. Keep up the good work. The “man in the suit” is proud of you, sure! Gary Brennan

PS: Am loving my custom HP, but have only gotten out about 4 times w/ it. Almost got it dialed in.

Most notable characteristics…

SMOOTH TURNING and FAST.

Stable too, which you know I wanted.

Gonna make me a better surfer

by far.

You should promote that board in your “lineup”.

Best, Gary Brennan

A splendid thing of beauty comes down from the sands of Ventura to be with me in a village in Mulky, Mangalore

Hi Todd, Charissa,

Got the board… finally. Took it straight to the Ashram.

Pictures taken of all the Swamis gathered around it in total appreciation, screaming, whooping and gazing in admiration.

Even the kids from the village nearby came to see it. Here are seven initial pictures. By the way, it looks like they will be contacting you for some custom boards too. I asked them to simply drop my name :-) ) ;-) ) more pictures to follow….
… and here are some more. The last few are of Swami Narasinga (Jack Hebner) who was kind enough to “bless” the board and share a moment in a picture with me. “When are we taking this to the water Mahesh?” “Maybe Thursday?” “Right, let’s go out together.”… He turns 67 in August!

So.. .that’s that. A dream come true. A splendid thing of beauty comes down from the sands of Ventura to be with me in a village in Mulky, Mangalore.

Hope to ever be the nomad travelling the coasts.
