the kookaburra goes off mate!!! super stoked

Hey guys

Here is a little shot that popped up on the front page of, coastalwatch is like Australia’s Surfline everyone check’s the cams all day.

Proctor- the kookaburra goes off mate!!! super stoked.

beginning the journey

i’ve been at witch’s rock for a a few days.. stayed an extra week… b/c its awesome.

waves are amazing.. instructors are really cool… i was walking out with my board… some locals came up and asked… ” is that a custom board… we’ve seen these a few times.. what’s the name?” so i explain… they asked about logo.. i explained… they laughed.. saying “that’s cool bro”.

they were looking at both of our boards real close.. they totally understood to design etc… very smart guys..

so we’re having a blast with the boards.

thanks so much… boards are crazy… i may get a long board from you some day…

daniel is killing it. going down the line now…

It’s funny.. When Daniel paddles for a wave some adults are faster than him.. But once he pops up.. Wooosh, he races past them.. Lol.

The monster is good in all waves.. It’s been small the last couple days.. It he’s still popping up just fine.

I was having trouble with my pop up in LA… Instructor fixed it on the first day.. He had me pop up on the sand to check me out.. Soon as I popped up, he says “boom, there it is, I found your problem”. He points at my feet, I look down down, my front foot, my right foot, was landing to the right of the stringer. He made me pop up 6-7 more times.. Made me get it right before he even took me out. He worked with me out there fixing other problems.. I’ve been popping up fine ever since. He’s awesome. Pako, is his name.

Glad you love the pics!! And again, thank you guys so much!!

drives off the bottom so fast and comes off the top so smooth

Todd, I love the Monsta!

It drives off the bottom so fast and comes off the top so smooth.

I really like the way the board helps generate and keep speed, I never feel like I am bogging down.

It has definitely helped me progress and improve my surfing

(landed a pretty nice air the other day, but only fell cause I was so surprised at how it easy it boosted).

I am so stoked on the way this board surfs, and glad my buddy Josh recommended you.

I look forward to getting more boards from you in the future.

The rails have amazing hold and the V2 rocker gives it an aggressive feeling while still being forgiving

Hey Charissa and Todd,

Just wanted to follow up and let you know I finally got to get a few days of good surfing in on the new Monsta.

Typically it takes me a few sessions to dial in a board at different spots, but I can honestly say I have not had a bad/weird experience on this thing yet. I have surfed it all over Oxnard and Ventura the last few days, in different conditions, every time it performs.

It worked in smaller mushier point waves, as well as hollower overhead beach break very well.

The rails have amazing hold and the V2 rocker gives it an aggressive feeling while still being forgiving

It is already proving to be very versatile and is a better replacement to the old beat up board in my quiver that I loved. This model was a perfect suggestion and I am glad you were able to take the time and set it up in the shaping room with me.

Of course it wont work in everything…

so the great thing is once the surf gets really solid, I have my super typhoon ready to go, which is another great board that has proved itself at home and in Bali in good waves.

Both boards have amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. It might be a while until I need another one, but I know where I will be going to order it and look forward to adding another Proctor to my quiver in the future. Thanks again for everything!

the Monsta changes every wave into gold!!

Hi Charissa and Todd,

I just received my new board and I can’t find my words to tell you how I feel, so I’m gonna keep it simple:

it’s beautiful, thank you.alfonso-riojas-g4

I was in Puerto Escondido last week and even though I didn’t get to surf Zicatela, as the break is not working since a while now, I still had a lot of fun thanks to the Monsta. At first I didn’t want to take the Monsta with me as it’s my favorite board but in the end I did good in doing it. We all went down to “La Barra” (sure you know this break) and

the waves were pretty small and weak but as you know

the Monsta changes every wave into gold!!

I met other people riding Proctor surfboards down there and I felt so happy for you guys,

seeing that you really are growing and bringing happiness and fun to loads of surfers around the world.

I hope you’re doing fine. Un fuerte abrazo desde Francia,

this thing just schooled me right through it

Hey there you two, Dan here with a testimonial to the new MonstaChief board your team made for me.

First trip out on a small day but glassy and fair shape, I got the new board into waves with ease,

the part in your video when you discuss the slightly pushed forward entry rocker is sooo awesome,

i could not believe how easy this board caught waves.

Being so used to surfing bigger longer boards i was worried just a hair about the step down to the 6’8″.

“no worries”

I found myself in the curl kind of chillin like i was on one my bigger boards and it occurred to me in that moment,” bro what are you doing you ordered this board to get a bit more aggressive on the waves”, and

with just enough curl left made a couple of sweet turns and a lip snap at the top,

something I’ve struggled with on my bigger boards

but this thing just schooled me right through it.

I can’t stop thinking about my next trips to beach because of that board.

Gotta say i was looking for the goto perfect Cali board and your team delivered. All this while not even being in my ideal surfing shape, the board paddles so well and even though at 3 1/8″ thick i could still duck dive it just fine.

I’m stoked to get this thing wired over the next few trips out, hope your business remains good because i can’t see myself ever buying a new surfboard from anyone else. By the way love the hat too.

Take care, I’ll check in again in a few weeks after riding it several more times, and also as a quad.

I might nickname this board my 7 iron.

Sorry for the long wind, had to be done. Todd & Charissa thank you

Catches waves like a long board, but still loves the barrel

Hi Todd and Charissa,

Just want to let Todd know my new Monsta goes insane! It’s better than the old Monsta in very sense.  Don’t know how you do it?  what is the design difference from the old Monsta?   Don’t have much time to surf with the new baby and my father just had a triple heart bypass.  Only took it out 3 times and really loving it.

So solid under your feet and turns on a dime.

Catches waves like a long board, but still loves the barrel.

Got diaper duty for a while and can’t wait to get back in the water again.  I guess you can’t go too thin with the Monsta design!

Keep up the good work and my Friend Will Ting from San Clemente whom you shaped a rascal 2.  Is thinking of getting the Monsta after visiting me in Taiwan and seeing the Monsta in action.

The waves were small and weak that day everyone else was riding fat retro boards or long boards.  The Monsta got in the waves just as easy but when there is a small pocket you can really smack it and it goes thru flat section like you would not believe.

No hopping, just move your weight forward

or carve rail to rail and it goes.

I was out of the water for a month and had no problem getting into those small weak waves

Amazing such small adjustments improves the performance so much.  Glad to be part of the progression.

Keep up the good work! Mark // Taiwan // 5’9″/155 lb // 5’6″ X 18 3/4″ X 2 1/8” Carbon Footprint Monsta v.2
